Some years back, investment banker Carter Pilcher stumbled across some really good short movies made by a few talented friends, and the money-making and artistic sides of his brain suddenly clicked.

Cal State Stanislaus tree project standing tall after 21 years

Twenty-one years ago, botanist Wayne Pierce and his supporters gathered to plant acorns and saplings, the beginning of an outdoor classroom project at California State University, Stanislaus. Wayne Pierce died in 2008, but his wife Donna kept the project going. The outdoor classroom is nearing completion.
